Bad news about Hadley from Austin

They are SO PRECIOUS.

Ugh.

Makes me want another baby!

When you DO rehome them, please consider using something other than craigslist - like working with a rescue (as was previously mentioned) or another service. CL seems to attract some weirdos that aren't really the "best" in terms of dog owners.

I agree 110%!!

Good to hear pups doing well and loved the pic of little one curled up in your palm:smile2: too sweet!!!
For the record I knew Yogi from day one (or pre birth really) and he was always the one at the back of the nest, wouldn't play with his brother, really the one the books all say NOT to take. His breeder told me he wouldn't be very trainable either and he sat like a pudding at the back:smile2: However he was the pick of the litter (of 2) for showing so I took him, as soon as he was here he changed drastically, now as you will have gathered from my other posts he is a real live wire, very quick witted and still playful at 7. I am lucky to still be in touch with his brother and he is now the quiet gentle one, yet in the nest he was boisterous and lively! So their personalities continue to alter even after 8 weeks. I think the type owner is significant. Lively ones have lively(ish) dogs, quiet reserved people have subdued dogs in my experience.

How are the puppies and Hadley doing- we need new pics.

I guess we have to wait until Maggie gets home some time tomorrow as it's my understanding the babysitter doesn't have the best camer phone to post pics for us :(.

I can imagine in the short few days we haven't seen them that they have already significantly changed!!

I did not realize she was gone. They do change so fast, I know Zak was 5 weeks when we went to see him the first time and then we went the next week and it was amazing the changes- way more mobile. They were just balls of black fur. Oh such fun little puppies.

Good morning all! I am glad to see mom is doing well, and the puppies are still happy. I feel your frustration with the old owner, but I'm sure your girl is so much happier with you. I love puppies, as do most people. I wish you the best of luck! I have no advice because I really don't have much experience with whelping or raising a litter. I've always been the one to socialize and train.

Hello Everyone!

I'm back from a wonderful little getaway in New Orleans. I missed my puppies, but they were in good hands. :) Hadley is doing well...she's started playing much more than she did even before she had the pups. Her fur is really looking like hell but I've read that's to be expected when they are nursing. It's matting extra easy. The pups are so much less pink! Here's a picture:
