Thanks Cara! I laugh when I hear that Cubby has fallen off the couch. I will have to take a picture of Baker posing on ours. Him falling off would be the equivalent of falling off the Grand Canyon!
Baker update: he is such a love! Whatever ailed him on Saturday is long gone - he's so spunky, healthy appetite & poop is almost photo worthy (just kidding). Also getting cuter every day - didn't think that was even possible!
House breaking is going pretty good - as long as Brian & I keep to a good schedule. We usually carry him out since he's so tiny, so the little guy shocked me when he showed some signs of wanting to go & went over to stare at the door! Went out for a quick poop! I think he's catching on.
He learned how to sit in one session, "chill" (down) took a bit longer but tonight he nailed it every time without me having to point to the floor. I need to make up some liver treats so we can work on his recall. He does pretty good, but there are so many other interesting things in the yard. I need to make sure that I am more worthy of his attention than the grass, leaves, sticks...
Toby is being as awesome as expected. Baker is getting more playful with him, climbing over, chewing
his tail...and big bro Tobes just takes it all in stride. He's pretty special.
Baker is also quite curious about that "funny looking dog" that we call a cat. He loves to chase her.
Camping this weekend - that will be interesting since their crates are soft-sided & not next to each other - we may need to rethink their sleeping arrangements for a while.
Still miss my Trace every single day, but so happy to have little Baker to bring some smiles back into the house.
