Baker says hello!

Here's another example of Baker's "tinyness". (I only put him on the couch for the photo shoot - if he fell off it would be like me falling out of a second story window)

Thanks guys - of course I think he's the cutest thing ever, but am a bit partial.

He amazes me daily - because he is so stinkin' cute, so smart, so tiny...Because he is so small I forget that he is NOT a young baby. He will be 10 weeks old Saturday. It just seems strange that something that small, with a brain probably the size of a small egg yolk, can be learning the things that he is.

When I get the "treats" out, he comes over & does "sit", "chill" (down), "sit", "chill" again without me giving a command. He's like: ok, here are the things I know, I don't know which one you want, now TREAT ME! I want to add to his training, but it's hard to do things like "shake" when his entire leg is maybe 6" long!

Housebreaking is going good, but again seems weird since I have never dealt with a puppy his size. I feel like I am housebreaking a hamster!

housebreaking a hamster

Ha ha!

And I have the opposite. Cubby is the size Shay was at 12+ weeks and so I have to keep telling myself he's ONLY 10 weeks, don't expect so much. He's just so BIG.

so...our plans to compare notes are pretty much out the window? lol

You can tell me what Cubby is doing now so I will know what to expect from Baker in a month or so...

Baker is 10 weeks old today!

Timing was perfect yesterday - we got to the camper just in time for his afternoon nap, so he had a chance to get to know his new "bedroom" before being crated for the night.

He was up super early (4:45) but made up for that by taking a really, really long nap. I actually checked on him a few times to make sure he was breathing!

I think he misses being able to zoom around the yard. It'll be much better once he's had his shots - then we can go on some nice long walks.

Happy 10 weeks old, Baker. I love his little head tilts...a sheltie trait that always is adorable. What a little doll...he is literally pocket size!!! My shelties would look like elephants next to your Baker (mine are all way oversize). Have fun camping.
