Baker says hello!

My little Baker is 18 weeks old today! We'll get a weight on Monday when he goes for his rabies shot - all I can say is he is still so darn small!

Housebreaking had been going awesome - almost too well, and then he peed in the kitchen last night - no warning. It's like if he isn't in the room where the door to outside is...outside must not exist. :gaah We'll get there...
Going to a celebration of life tomorrow for a friend's mother. It's in a park so the boys can go along - some great people socialization time for Baker. Then we will hit PetCo & PetSmart on our way home. Have to get used to other dogs since we start Beginner Obedience in one month!

The weekly rum bottle shot. (we use the word "chill" instead of down)

Wow! Baker look how big you've gotten! Is it me or is his face starting to change too? I can't wait to see as his coat starts to grow in more and more! I know this is Baker's thread- but big brother Toby is a handsome boy too!

His face changes almost daily - and the lighting makes a difference too. Sometimes his darker "widows peak" is very pronounced, sometimes barely there.

Baker is adorable! He has such a smart, confident look about him.

Thanks - he's rather plain looking compared to some (ok, most) of the rest of Class of 2014, but we love him - and he is almost too smart for his own good.

I have seen some comments that he really isn't all that small, and in the world of Shelties he might not seem as tiny as I feel he is. But my only other experience with a Sheltie was my beloved Trace (we knew he was going to be oversized when we picked him out at 5 weeks). The picture attached was taken the day we brought Trace home - at 9 weeks old!

Comparing that to the pic with the same Toby, with Baker being twice as old...that's why I feel like I have such a tiny, fragile little thing.

Baker is such a cutie! I wanna kiss that nose!
And he is not plain in any negative connotation. I was just yakking with Fillion's breeder and she was hoping to get a few plain faces out of her new litter, but alas for her they all had blazes and the irish pattern.
