Baker says hello!

I have actually entered Baker in a holiday pet photo contest. There are only 111 other entries, but some really cute pics out there, so I doubt we'll get very far.

Am I allowed to post the link and ask for votes here?

You are not allowed to request votes for any contests, but you can pm friends on through the private message system and ask them for votes.

Thanks for checking before posting.

6. Online Contests
Sheltie Forums has elected to not allow posts to self promote in online contests. The purpose of the site is for conversation and information sharing about the breed we all love. Allowing one person to post requests for votes could exclude other members from the same contest. You may privately email friends using the PM system, but you may not contact members outside of your profile listed friends. That is considered spamming.

Thanks for the reply & I am glad I checked first! It's a funny contest - they say that the number of votes does not decide the winner, but may be taken into consideration when the radio station team makes their decision.

The voting started at noon today. Baker has a legitimate number of votes - 30 some so far. They do allow multiple votes - explains why the front runner has over 1400? How is that even possible? Must be people sitting at their computers all day, voting and voting and voting...lol

Baker is a winner in my book - that's all that matters!

Looks like it's going to be a Sheltie party at my house tomorrow! Baker's breeder is bringing his mom & sister to spend the weekend with my breeder friend who has Baker's grandsire. They all plan to stop by our place in the morning to see little Baker! I am so interested to see how he reacts to seeing his mom & littermate. Do you think he'll remember them?

And Baker's grandsire's owner has a tri pup that is about 5 months old - she'll be coming along too. This is the female that is a possible breeding partner for Baker in the future...haven't decided how that will end up.

One can never be surrounded by too many Shelties!

What a delightful experience for Baker. I was too busy looking at the pix to think about how great it was for him to have all these semi-strange dogs to romp with. Everyone looked great. I think Josie is a cutie too!
