Beckon Graduates to the Big Bed

That just sounds so cute! We never could get Earnhardt to get on the bed.Only occasionally he would get up there.And definately not now,cause he can't get his whole body up in one motion. 96lbs on a bed,somehow does'nt sound comfy.

But I have to say I am looking forward to Trapp snuggling on the bed!
 
I love having the boys on the bed. Bacca always gets the head, and Indy the feet (Bacca's bigger, so I guess he won the arm wrestle!)

David hates the dogs sleeping on the bed, so on the weekends when he stays over, he's always a hassle getting them OFF the bed and they look at me so pathetically! And they give David that look: "Its YOUR fault!" :lol:

I had a beagle mix Jazz, she always laid by my left shoudler ,Justice by my feet and Ember between my feet(very dangerous). When she passed they rotated Justice to my shoudler and Ember to the side of the feet.

Diva has only been of the bed for 2 night when she was 10 months. The first night she was perfect :smile2:. The second night she got down in the middle of the night to pull the hamper over:mad: and was fine again once I got her. Third night she got restless after 10 mins and want to get down to cause mischief so back in the crate.:(

Congrats on Beckon becoming a big boy.
 
Off the bed!

Well we are entering a new era. McKinley jumped OFF the bed today and that sets a whole different set of rules.

Now we have to work on, "No young man, you are to stay on the bed!"
 
I think there is a physical limit to the # of dogs that can share a bed with two adults, even when the bed is a king.

I was laughing when I saw that remark. Pretty soon you will know when the balance of power has changed when the dogs have the bed and you're sleeping on the couch.:lol: :lol:

And it's so funny to look down and all you see are little paws up in the air. This pup is a definite bed hog.
 
Last night we had Layla by my head, Annie Laurie between us, and Beckers sprawled out on his back by Brad's feet. Ah, Sheltie bliss!!
 
When Bailey and Panda would chase each other around Bailey would jump on the bed to get away from her and or taunt Panda. Of course Panda has now learned how to jump and or scramble up onto the bed which is quite high so Bailey has no place to hide now.

Panda has no fear, while Bailey jumps down Panda launches herself off the bed like Superman. Front feet straight out in front of her and her back feet straight out the back.

So now both get up and down during the night and most mornings we wake up with Bailey on her back feet straight up in the air and Panda on her back with front feet stretched out above her head and back feet stretched out below her butt.

Looks like we missed the lesson about jumping up on the furniture.
 
Well, McKinley graduated and promptly got demoted last night.

He was groomed last night, and for all I dried him well, I was concerned that he needed to be warmer than what it would be in his crate (we set the house temperature to 53 overnight), so we let him sleep on the bed. By 3:30AM this morning, I was wide awake. MMM slept across my calves and refused to move regardless of how much I repositioned him. I feel like I have slept with a lead blanket over me. By 4, he was in his crate with an extra blanket.

Bailey graduated this weekend as well. Friday night she rejected me :cry:, but Saturday night and last night she slept in my bed. No problems what so ever. So slept through the night at the end of my bed.
