Bela PLAY-BOWED this morning! And BARKED!

What a moving story she is loving life!!!!
Next thing I am waiting now is a thread on how to encourage help to learn to not bark,lolll
 
A year from now, I may deny ever saying this, but I don't think Bela's got it in her to be a real, competition barker. She enjoys her quiet time too much.

And another sort-of-miracle occurred yesterday - she JUMPED up on the loveseat, instead of my having to lug her up there. She did this multiple times, and maybe she'll be figuring out how to jump up on the bed pretty soon. (The bed is pretty tall, and you can tell she wants up there - she paces worriedly around the bed and looks pitiful.)

Bela is growing leaps and bounds. I bet she will jump on the bed next!!

Way to go, Bela. So happy to hear you are enjoying yourself. You are experiencing what the "good life" is all about.
 
If I can ever get past her looking pitiful, and manage to tough it out, she may try. But I always feel sorry for her and pick her up.

I know, my bad! She has me firmly wrapped around her little paw.
 
You are doing wonderfully Bela, pretty soon you will own all the furniture, as a Lady of your stature should!!
 
Sorry to hear about Gracie being so stressed at the vets office. Sheeps suggestion was good, I always took Chandler with me to pick up meds so he never panicked because he was used to going there. Gypsy get's a bit frazzled but she is always getting poked and stuck so I don't think she'll ever calm down when it comes to the vet.

I always pick Gypsy up and put her on the bed, she has never jumped up on the couch or bed on her own and that is fine with me. I even got petstairs but she wasn't impressed. :rolleyes2:

Unfortunately, I had a severe spinal injury years ago, and it's a literal pain to pick her up even though she's only 20 pounds. So it would help LOTS if she would show some initiative! I've tried pet steps (my dad made some really nice ones, and covered them with leftover carpet), but to no avail. Eventually, I think she'll cooperate, as she sees Gracie hurl herself through the air every 10 minutes. :eek2:
