Belle never barks..

I would say you are very lucky! Our Brie didn't make a sound when we first got her, but now almost 3 months later she has settled in and decided that she has quite a bit to say! Her first bark was met with peels of laughter from my son and husband, because bless her little soul, she was bark softened and she sounds rather like a turkey! So now the command in our house to be quiet is, "No more turkey talking"!

its weird! I know she has a voice, but I have only heard her bark one time for her food. when we go on walks, she gets excited when she sees a dog she knows and she does the spin and little dance, but she doesn't bark. if she sees a bike she gets very alert, but never barks. I just don't get it.. thought maybe it might be because she is in the house all the time but our last sheltie was from the same breeder and she was a very big barker as, supposedly, is Belle's sister whom the breeder is keeping.. any thoughts? or maybe I should just be thankful.

BE THANKFUL! Nellie girl barks and BARKS! When we leave, at electronic toys, and when strange dogs go past the house.

Count your blessings!

Indy is a big time barker! He barks at people, dogs, squirrels, my son. Bacca not so much.

Bacca will bark only if Indy starts, and even then he sounds like Scooby Doo - more like a whine.

On the rare occasions when Bacca is outside and Indy is inside and a dog walks by, Bacca feels compelled to let out a warning bark or two.
