Please, please! Do not adopt the shollie name. It just perpetuates the designer breed syndrome! And erodes all purebreds entirely

I posted earlier tonight a link to a supposed "Designer Dog Registry". This is what causes puppy mills.

So I'm asking that we not joke about this. This is serious.

Sorry for being a party pooper, but I feel strongly about this. I've got nothing against mutts. They happen. But I have everything against so-called breeders breeding mixed dogs......

I think everyone is just having a little fun with the term "shollie'. No one is perpetuating anything within this thread.

And as a reminder to everyone here, please do not post direct links to sites you do NOT want to encourage or support. The link only gives them more credit on google and gives direct traffic!

Don't worry Barb! I don't like the 'designer breeds' as much as you do. But I don't think we have anything to worry about here.:winkgrin: I call Jody a 'Shetland Retriever'. He LOVES to retrieve!:yes:
