I think Michele makes a good point. As you know by know, Shelties are much more reserved than Labs as a rule. I think that an outgoing Sheltie might be a better fit for you and Cadbury - the most outgoing, friendly one in the litter. I know when we picked out Buffy we were choosing between her (playful, very active) and another who was quieter. I was afraid she might be too crazy for us since we are pretty calm and have a smaller space, but the thing is on the spectrum of Shelties they are just not as active and hyper as some other breeds. She turned out to be a perfect fit for us.

I don't think at least for here,a quite,very shy reserved puppy would be comfortable here.I needed a pup with a gutsy,spunky attitude,that could get Earnhardt motivated. The result turned out well.
But Sophie,you know Cadbury,you are with him 24/7,looking for the right pup that meshes well in your home is key to having a harmony. I can't wait for the day we get to welcome your new pup home.

That's sort of what I am thinking, or perhaps one just inbetween - not shy, but not completely bold either.
Thanks Michele. Cadbury is growing into quite a calm dog surprisingly. He is actually very good with shy, nervous dogs as he isn't as pushy as some labs can be and will submit to a nervous dog and drop down to make himself seem less scary. That said, I think a pup with a bit of character would be better for us than a really quiet pup, as we are a noisy, busy household that could be overwhelming for a very sensitive pup. But at this time it is rather an unknown quantity as I have not even seen a litter that suits me yet. So its a game of 'wait and see.'
But yeah, I can't wait either.
