Black coat looking reddish

Indy has a tinge of red in his black coat as well. It's in both his undercoat and topcoat. However, its there year round, so I don't think its the summer sun causing it.

I do use Ice on Ice however to keep the amount of red down and it seems to be working pretty well.

I thought about the Black on Black....and perhaps its a silly question, but what does it do the the white ruff???

"If using on tri-colored coats, use White on White first and leave on the white and light areas while you carefully apply Black On Black into the dark areas; do not overlap into the light areas. Will not discolor mahogany and dark tan markings."

Hope that helps!

Oooooooh! Great! Another online store for me to browse! :rolleyes2:

Sounds too complicated. I think I'll live with the red. He's not for show anyway!

Oh please tell me I read the info correctly when ordering from Cherry Brook. I ordered the white on White kit.Just to give it a try.It said it was safe for all colors. Oh lord..help me if I have to send this back, cause they charge a restocking fee.

I think it will be fine. That being said, I don't think you'll ever really need the White on White unless you are showing.

I went back to the CC site and it appears that only the Black on Black has potential for discoloration. Similarly with the Gold on Gold and Red on Red. But the White on White does not have the same "cautions"

Remember these are color treatments not shampoos. I think you might have been better off with their regular shampoo and Show Off (their leave in Shampoo, which I use and am very fond of).

Somewhere I picked up the knowledge that there is something remarkable about a Sheltie's whites in that they never stay stained! I know this to be true with my own boys. My pups can be in the mud one minute. But once the mud has dried, it just seems to fall off and the white is white again!

What do you use for the regualr shampoo?

Geesh...I guess I thought it was shampoo. It lathers like one. Now what am I gonna do with this stuff. It's only a 4 ounce trial size. Do you think I could use it on Earnhardt, since he is so light colored. Will it brighten him up?

And I was also looking at PetEdge site,I love thier prices,is there something there that I could order for shampoo, cause I was going to order the Espree shampoo & conditioner, would that be ok to use. Someone mentioned they loved the fragrance, and I'm kinda a fragrance person. I did not see where the CC products even had a fragrance.

Tell me quick,so I can go a shopping while Brian is at work!!

I see that now. :eek2:

I think the white on white would work,as I just went back & read it again.Although when I got it and opened the bottle..golly it was like purple in color. We'll give it a go on Earnhardt...he can be like "let Mikie try it commercial" What was that commercial? Was it for Life cereal?

Yes I have a couple of weeks before Trapp comes home, So I'll tell Brian this weekend we need to give Earnie another bath to try out the shampoo,to see if he gets whiter~ He'll really think I'm having hormonal issues.

Ok, I'll admit it now....I'm not a natural blonde (which means, btw, that I'm not naturally dumb! Ok everyone....don't jump in all at once to discount this theory! )

When my hairsylist does my "colour" the gunk that she puts into my hair is purple too. That's what gives me my blonde look.

Again, I just want to reiterate its not a shampoo. It's a colour treatment that you probably don't even need.

In my experience all whitener/brightener shampoo is blue or purple.

Espree makes a herb oil dark coat shampoo. It naturally kills fleas, darkens coats, and somehow still manages to make Ruckus white shockingly white.
I have never tried CC products on my dogs, but I cannot imagine it being much better than this.

I have used white on white on a clients English bull dogs before dog shows, and I honestly believe that our Espree bright white shampoo does just as good, and it doesnt have to sit as long, or need other shampoos to go with it.
