Black on Black + White on White -a review

I would not think the CC prduct would hurt her, unless she has skin issues that need healing.I'm sure she will sparkle after a bath with it.I hope in time u are able to give it a try~

I was thinking that, too. Besides, Abbie wants to look her best to tease poor Trapp!

I gave Bailey a bath yesterday with Chris Christian's shampoos. As per Tofu Pup'd suggestion, I first applied white on white to Bailey's white fur. I let that sit for 5 minutes and then I applied the thicker and thicker shampoo. I massaged it into Bailey fur and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I rinsed it all off. After, I applied the after bath, rinsed it off, dried Bailey, then sprayed ice on ice and brushed her. Despite jumping out of the tub 3 times and rolling around on my bed while still wet, she was pretty good. Here's a few pictures of Bailey all clean and pretty. Her fur is very soft and fluffy. Her white fur looks so clean and bright. And she smells great.

Nice job on the feet! I've got a Sheltie dog foot fetish! I can get Bacca's to look pretty good, but I'm still struggling with Indy's.

Ice on Ice is still one of my fav's and I'm almost out! Eeeek! Time to order. My normal distributer doesn't sell it anymore, so I have to search again. (I think Ontario Sheltie had the same problem with CC products...and I think I found some links for her, but now need them myself!)

Indy has such fat pants that I find its about the only thing I can use to detangle him to brush them out.

My pups don't shed, you I often don't realize how much gets stuck in their fur. I think I pulled enough stuff out of Indy today to fill a duvet!

Sooo... ordered some Black on Black for Pierre's b-day (which is in 2 days... my little Pap is going to be 2!). Then, I was like, "Huh, Abbie just had a b-day and all she got was an obedience class, that's not fair." So I ordered some White on White. And then I just knew it wasn't fair to get Pierre and Abbie something and not Duncan, so I also got Gold on Gold.

That's right - this thread caused me to spend like $50 (with shipping, but I found a code to get a 10% discount on the Cherrybrook site) on SHAMPOO!!!!! I am so grateful I have the best DH in the world. I whined about it for half a second and he said, "Chelle, how long will it last?" That shut me up and put a big smile on my face.

I stopped using the Ice on Ice. It just makes their coats too soft. :dead: I LOVE Crown Royale's Magic Touch. If you want your dog to smell like a cinnamon stick (not an overpowering cinnamon stick, mind you!) then this stuff is great. Jennifer uses it on Shaine, and I could not stop sniffing him.

I seriously thought about lifting Shaine up and just inhaling his fur after she did that. :uhoh:

:biggrin2:

Here is the link. Shelties get formula 3. They also have a nifty chart on that page that tells you what dog breed gets what formula. This spray does not leave a build up that I have noticed:

The worst part is you will like it so much that $50 does not seem like a big deal.

And you need to do a before and after on Abbie. I bet the difference is nice with her coat.

It depends on the dog.

Bacca has a typical coarser outer coat, so Ice on Ice is perfect for him. I use it everywhere on him.

Indy, like your pups, has very soft, almost puppy like fur, so I use it only in some parts of his body. I use it to detangle his butt, and I give him a once over his guard hairs to help prevent rusting.

Thank you :biggrin2: I love Bailey's little clean chubby feet.

I stopped using the Ice on Ice. It just makes their coats too soft.

Really? I love Bailey's nice soft coat. The normally crimped fur behind Bailey's ears are so soft and barely crimped anymore. It looks great.

Meh. I forgot it had a sunblock thing on it. :dead: After the crown royale stuff I just can't use it anymore though. I might change my mind once they get in their adult coats in (and I seriously hope Smudge has not got his adult coat in yet!).

So glad you mentioned this! :biggrin2: I posted a pictue of Smudge and Fluffy on my facebook, and I made a comment about how I HATED Smudge's ear fur. Jennifer commented back and said that Skipper, her non show dog sable merle, had the same problem. She said she would clean him and then a week later his ear fur would be funky again. She said he finally grew out of it at about age 3-4. She said it eventually stopped getting greasy and now it is fine.

I would post a picture of his ear fur, but he is not my dog. :uhoh: However, you can google Jennifer Campbell shelties and you can see Skipper under males.
