Blueberry update

Well we finally got a height on Blueberry...went to get her ears done and she’s sitting right in the middle of the height for her age at 13 3/4”...no risk of going over. It’s a 30 minute highway drive and I had to do a curb side pickup at Walmart first (10 minutes from home) and Blueberry threw up right after getting at Walmart, and this was after eating 1 1/2 of the ginger cookies. Not a good sign...
Yup...she threw up 2 more times! Poor girl and she didn’t have any breakfast either!
The breeder had some Cerenia from her dam Willow who also had bad motion sickness so she got 1/2 a tablet for the drive home and she was good. Poor girl will never enjoy car rides if we can’t get a handle on this. On the plus side Willow is now 3 and doesn’t suffer from motion sickness any longer.
I’m definitely looking forward to obedience (puppy) class on Monday...it’ll be so nice to finally get her out socializing with other puppy’s! This is a great trainer who doesn’t have huge classes either and does great sanitizing!
Another good sign is her twitches are diminishing! At the breeder I was holding her and as she got tired she didn’t do it once. She now gets CBD oil (specifically for dogs) twice a day as well as a probiotic and a super antioxidant every day. She is most definitely the healthiest puppy!
Here’s a current pic..just 3 days shy of her turning 5 months old!View attachment 17559View attachment 17560
ADORABLE!!!!!!!!

I think I told you Brodie was car sick all the time when he was young, but he did grow out of it. Hope!

Blueberry is looking beautiful!!!! I'd say solid on not going over - Brodie was 14 1/2" at 22 weeks and ended up at 15 1/2". I am sure females and males develop a tad differently but still.... Brodie was all legs - she looks very nicely 'put together', well balanced, kwim? Deacon is 12 3/4" so she's got an inch over him.

Kismet got to almost 13" at 5mths and just decided to stay there but she went through heat very early (not sure if that's linked). Tho she is the most emotionally immature of all my dogs and her face is only now (15mths) getting an adult look.

Poor little tacker, motion sickness is hard. Deska used to throw up in the car too. He never completely got over the motion sickness but he did stop throwing up when he got older. I used phenergan when we were doing longer or bumpy trips. I always have cerenia on hand for Tully, my understanding is it stops the vomiting reflex.

Do you have a nickname for Blueberry or do you always just call her that?

No nickname yet lol...she’s always Blueberry to me haha. My sister calls her Blue.
She did ok today on our drive to her puppy class, gave her 1/2 of a Cerenia but I think I gave it to her too early. She was drooling a bit by the time we got there (+30 minute drive) and blowing bubbles on the way home lol. No vomit though so that was good and it was a bumpy ride on some of it!
