Thank you, it was such a tough night.
He wasn't sick, he was aggravating the whole house and neighbourhood the day before, still! It was SO sudden.
Good way to go, I love remembering the spunky brat he was and am grateful that he didn't go slow.
He wouldn't let Toffee go through the chute two days ago cuz he was playing in it, ... It may have been poison of some sort whatever he got into.
because it went this fast and severe they think it was probably something he got into.
I thought I would have time to see him go old... but the brat had to go out with a bang, just like he came into my life he left...
One in a million, yes a weird dog that meows, very well put!!!
I am grateful I have good friends and this Forum, because you understand how sad I am. It helps to be able to talk about it
I haven't slept yet
I am so sorry you lost Boss kitty. When I lost my cat, Pumpkin, I cried and cried for a long time. Just awful if it was a poison that killed him. My thoughts are with you during this sad time. Big hug for you.
We facing this with Poacher. We have no idea how old he is as he showed up one day about 4 years ago with an abscess from his hip to his toe. He appears quite an old soul. He was an intact male for most of his life and still feels the need to spray even though we had him neutered so he lives in our barn. Two years ago we took him in for dentistry because he had neck lesions on his teeth and he is down to one upper and one lower canine. Now those too are affected. It is a painful condition and if he lived in the house would be manageable but we have tried to feed him soft food with no luck. I'm just trying to talk myself into taking him on a final journey as we can't allow him to live like this but he went from being an untouchable, unapproachable feral to a gentle old man - even lets me brush and pill him - which makes it harder to let him go. At least I have had some time to get used to the idea - it would be brutal to face what just happened to you.
