Oh noooo!!!!For awhile I had to run after him, he was eating them, and then throwing up. He is learning to

I was talking to a friend recently- we grew up in central PA and she still lives there- I never remember having cicadas at any time up there......We are in SE PA and we have not seen any of them yet. I have seen pictures of places close to here completely inundated. I am hoping maybe we don’t have any here, I could just see Shelby chasing and eating all of them. She already chases the frogs in our pond (she caught one once and never again has she tried). She likes to nose them to make them jump or bark at them when they croak.
Today she was after a bumble bee- so I know she will go after them too.
If you wanted deep fried you could likely get them here. Not sure there is not anything Alabama won't deep fry and call food.Funny, someone on FB posted the same problem. Interesting that he's throwing them up. Manufacturers are looking at cicadas and crickets as a viable alternative protein source and I've got cricket treats in the cupboard that none of the dogs like! In China you can get crickets and cicadas on a stick (baked of course) at roadside stalls and markets - I just couldn't get past the crunch though.
