They are comparable in price on Chewy.com. The medium sized Enzymatic chews/HEXtra chews and small sized VeggieDent are for dogs with similar weight. Large sized Enzymatic chews/HEXtra chews and Medium sized VeggieDent are for dogs with similar weight. When you adjust sizes for these chews, they are similar in prices.

amazon has different prices...
from your links the veggie is $22 for 755g and the CET is $26 for 471g

sigh.....amazon was quite a bit more....
 
OK, so in searching for who sells it in Australia I came across this old article from 2009

The Australian company Virbac has pulled some products from veterinarians' shelves after small-animal specialists established a possible link between Vietnamese-made dog dental chews and an outbreak of mysterious illnesses in dogs.

Dr Justin Wimpole, the senior registrar at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital, North Ryde, identified the possible link between the animal health pharmaceutical company's VeggieDent Chews and a variety of symptoms including increased urination, thirst, lethargy and diarrhoea in about eight dogs.

A Virbac spokesman said there had been no proof of a causal link with the VeggieDent product range, but it had removed the products as a precaution in the interests of animal welfare and the veterinary profession.

Which explains why I can't find it for sale in Australia. Anyone able to tell if it's still made in Vietnam?
Update - found a pic of the back of the packet and it is still made in Vietnam. I won't buy any treats made in Asia .
 
hmm..the veggiedent bag in amazon pics still says vietnam!
the rawhide based ones are from mexico...
 
I was looking at these today. The vet says Shelby’s teeth are great and they can’t believe how good they are for a Sheltie. But she has (and always had) horrible breath. I think it is because of her underbite she can’t close her mouth completely. So I always look for something to help with that. She will not drink her water if we add anything to it, so that is out of the question.

She loves to chew (right now she is chewing her birthday bully stick) but I didn’t want to spend all that money if she didn’t like them. I wish I could buy one or two to try 1st. So I’m am anxious to see how it goes. We already use the C.E.T. toothpaste.

I've been using the ProDen Plaque Off with my 4 but it does not seem to be making any difference at least with the brown dogs. I had a friend at work using it with her dogs and within several months she saw a difference so I knew people on here were also using it so I thought it would be a good thing to try. we do need some chews so maybe we'll look into these.
 
SANDSTORM CANNOT HAVE THESE CHEWS ANYMORE! He gulps them almost whole- I'm afraid it's a choking hazard! I'm going to stick with the greenies and get the plaque off
 
oh no! I'm afraid Gavin is pretty dainty in his eating habits. He will break up a treat and drop the bits on the ground and eat them piecemeal.
Does it help if you break the strips up?
