Cancer

Wow, that's fantastic news. So glad you got on to update us, it will help others deciding if cancer treatment is worth it, 15 is a grand old age.

Wow, 15. Thanks for the update. Sorry you had a few setbacks and scary moments, but so glad Jazz has had way more happy days than sick ones.

Fifteen! So great to hear she (and you!) persevered. Thanks for the update and I wish you much more time with your sweet Jazzy. I know it's never long enough.

My sweet 6 yr old girl, Jasmine, was just diagnosed with mammary carcinoma, breast cancer. I first saw what I thought was a an abcess from a cat scratch or bug bite in July. Vet's first test indicated it was an inflammation and gave her an antibiotic. It reduced the size but I didn't like the way it was healing and scheduled the removal. It was 6 weeks from first sight to that terrible biopsy result. It is inflammatory breast cancer - fast growing and fatal. I hear them but I don't believe it is happening.

I'm told she is healthy in all other respects - lungs clear, blood work was good. At best she can survive 2 years with chemo. If I do nothing it will be less then a year as the cancer will spread.

I rescued Jasmine in December - her owner had cancer - I loved her immedialty and can't imagine loosing her so quickly.
I am so sorry
