Canine influenza

Diagnosis -- Kennel Cough

We're back from the vet with a diagnosis of kennel cough, a round of antibiotics and a bottle of Robitussin DM. The vet said it's most likely kennel cough because Phebe's still eating and drinking normally and doesn't have a fever. The dogs that she has seen with canine flu were off their food and had a fever.

I was about to ask how Phebe was doing, hope she gets over her kennel cough soon. Where do you suppose she got it? Sending sheltie kisses for her.

Gladto hear it's Kennel cough and not influenza. I would agree with your previous post about Doggie park be off bounds. So many dogs are not up to date on their shots and that 's most likely where she contracted it. Get well soon Phebe.Thoughts and prayers are with you for Phebes' total and quick recovery.

Glad to hear it is Kennel Cough and not the flu.

I need to reschedule Edan's vet visit for his K9 Flu vaccine; it was supposed to be yesterday but the vet had to cancel. We decided to do both that and Kennel Cough shots because he's around so many different dogs at his training classes and trials.
