Carnage in the kitchen

Poor thing. They bleed like crazy! Shelby had white nails when she was a pup but also turned black as she got older. I have on occasion cut too short. The worst part is Shelby doesn’t even care and then I don’t realize she is bleeding until my house looks like a crime scene.

I have previously cut a huge number of GSD nails (all black):wink2:

Then I get little Minnie
- the first time I cut these tiny little black nails - one bleeds - I'm so unhappy.
Next time - I am so very careful - I sweat all over :hide
and what happens one nail bleeds

Then I bought a grinder :ROFLMAO:

Me too...I bought a dremel when Piper was a pup. 6 years later it’s still working, I did have to buy a new battery for it but on one charge I have enough to do 3 dogs:yes:...I love it!

I have used the Dremel for nails for years and never hit the Quick.
Years ago I tried the clippers and Laddie pushed in when I pushed to clip! Needless to say, I experienced the same! Blood everywhere. I bandaged it up and put him in his crate to stay quiet!
Hope Tully is feeling better today!

Does the Dremel really stop cutting quicks though? I figured all it meant was the nail wasn't cut as low. I brought one for Tully's funky nail but it hasn't helped. Kismet on the other hand, OMG, she's such a drama queen!
I did trim too short once but it just bled like a drop...I can tell by the noise and feel when I’m close. And of course the dogs let me know when I’m close!
