Heartbreaking news. I'm so very sorry for your sudden loss. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
 
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your sweet Casey Lou. I lost my beautiful Angel Bambi very suddenly also and there is just no way to prepare for that. Hold fast to your memories, it will be awhile but one day you will realize you thought of your sweet baby and smiled at a memory you had. I will keep you and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers. RIP little Casey Lou, run free. :hugs
 
I was so sorry to read that you lost your dear Casey so very suddenly.
It is never easy ... these special souls are such a blessing in our lives and I hope in time only the great memories fill your heart and soul.

From the story you just mention about the man in a coma... Casey was one special sheltie!

So sorry to read about this. Dogs leave paw prints upon our hearts. Take care of yourself and think of your happy reunion at the Rainbow Bridge.
 
My heart and prayers go out to you on hearing of Sweet Casey Lou's passing.

I remember your thread telling of Casey visiting in the nursing home and running down the hall into the man in a coma's room, and first meeting with some of the people seating around his bed. And then Casey jumping up on the patient's bed and giving him sheltie kisses on the face. This is woke the man up from the coma he was in. If he had bred collies years back, I bet he thought your sheltie, Casey, was a collie puppy. (and didn't the man have a smile on his face?)

Casey, truly, was a wonderful ambassador for the sheltie breed!

Thank you all so much. This was so sudden and heartbreaking. Yes, the man smiled. Casey was known and beloved by many. There are at least five people on our walk route that often see him and come outside to talk to Casey. It's been a sad week, but it helps to know how loved he was.
