Which CC shampoo would be good for tri's? Don't want to use black on black on just the black areas and white on white on the white. Zak's coat looks brownish from the sun, not as black as when he was a puppy.

I use Spectrum One for my Shelties. I do use the White on White for my Blue Merle but of course that's a different story. She's more white than anything so it works for her but I don't bother using different shampoos for my Sables. Spectrum One works great and it's concentrated so you can water it WAY down(8:1 ratio) and it lasts forever.

How about for a heavy grey Blue merle,, would white on white be a good choice ??? my breeder is recommending Natures speciality plum silky... it looks good as well..

ohhh,, i just realized amazon wont ship chris christenson to Canada,,, anybody know where to find this product here?

I was the biggest fan of CC for so long, but I've recently turned off it.

Granted I never used the shampoos only Show Off and Ice on Ice....but I finally decided these products were leaving too much residue that was actually drying out their coat rather than replenishing it.

But it was enough to get me to try other products. So far, I'm now liking Tropliclean Puppy Oatmeal Shampoo on Bacca. He has very dry skin at the moment and it seems to be helping. Indy is super shiny with Tropliclean Papaya.

thats kinda like comparing apples and oranges...two totally different products and the one you used are intended for show circuit people who are washing their dog every week or so...sooooo of course it would get a bad review with residue since its not intended to be used without regular bathing.

That's a really important point worth mentioning.

Many CC and other professional grooming products are meant to be used for dogs that will be bathed for shows regularly vs. the home dog that we want to just look, feel and smell nice.

I've only now recently understood the difference.

Mods.....do we need to seperate this thread into show grooming vs. pet grooming????? Just a thought

I may be very wrong, someone please correct me if I am. My impression from some of the past threads is that the CC shampoos are probably fine for non-show dogs that are not bathed every week, if that is what someone wants to use. It is the waterless shampoo (Show Off for CC, but there waterless shampoos under lots of other brand names) that can leave the residue and maybe Ice on Ice also (or other brand name grooming sprays).

Is that correct?
