Oh, my heart aches...Being part of the rescue community, I cry for you and this pup....Hugs, and at least he died peacefully and humanely...Why people do this is beyond me. Thank you for taking this pup in...He is welcomed at The Bridge by so many others before....

the poor baby - what a way to go, to suffer like that. You want to make people who do that suffer the same way.

I sincerely hope that word has gone out to the Sheltie breeders in the area as well, in case these people are looking to them for a Sheltie.
 
This makes me sick! I do not understand how anyone can be cruel to a dog, and this was definitely cruel. I agree the owners should never have another dog and I too hope they pay someday for being so cruel to a helpless dog. I know any dog lover who reads about this dog would feel sick to their stomach, like I do. I just cannot understand any one being cruel to these little souls. It is good that this little one did finally sleep peacefully. BTW, I definitely believe dogs go to Heaven and wait for the right person.

I do believe that what we think we get away with in this life is what we will be judged on in the next. RIP little one.

I believe this too, with my whole heart. My Simona and Muff Muff are waiting for me in a better place, as I wait for them. Heaven... wouldn't be Heaven without our little pups… now would it? All of us are God’s creations, and our dogs too, and God is such a big God, and He is now caring for this pup that just passed. His last days must have been horrible, but he is not alone now… he is in loving arms, and a much better place. The grass is now soft under his feet… I’m sure. Rest baby.
