Here's Bacca's impression of mountain goat.....he was about 6 months when this was taken. The part where he is standing is the top and relatively flat....he had to climb up a long steep incline to get there, which I can barely do myself! The Canadian Shield!

And then there was the day that he was the top of a ravine and heard me calling him! David witnessed him leaping down the ravine to land (safely if rather undignified) in a bramble of blackberry bush)

Wow, look at those legs. It's no wonder he climbs. He definitely is part mountain goat!

I have the opposite problem. I want Koji to climb. Since hubby wouldn't allow them on furniture, Koji can't jump or climb very well. It's very sad and pathetic.

I think climbing onto rocks is some primative urge from when they were on the Shetlands. If there is a rock Deska has to climb it - and then he stands on it just smiles, like an addict after a fix!

Yes, that is exactly it. McKinley just looks at us at the top of the garden everytime he gets up there, "like look at me, I am the king of the hill"

So I am not the only one that thinks these dogs truly, SMILE

Get ready for a big-un, then! Bacca is still all legs, but he is poetry in motion when he runs! And maybe I'm confused with all the new pups on the forum, but I think MMM and Bacca share geneology - Laureate, Shelhaven, MacDega, Cindahope, etc.
