That set up is both for teaching swimming and for rehab. The water is so warm and comfortable too.

Poor little guy. I felt horrible when Crouton fell into the water, it wasn't really a lake as more of a really deep tide pool she thought she could just walk across and just disappeared down into the water. When she came up sputtering she swam for the rocks and just clung there. My boyfriend waded in and pulled her out but I couldn't help but laugh as she was grappling the boulders, she looked so pitiful. Thank God you were there for your guy though.

My two are the same way...not into swimming at all!

One of mine will wade in at the dog park, but absolutely hates swimming (we made him do it at the lake). My other one loves water coming out of the hose or the sprinkler, but I doubt she'd wade in on her own.

You've inspired me to take them to the beach soon to see how they'd do.

Aww thanks :wink2:. I know she hates swimming but I just want her to get over her fear. She will wade in but not past her knees. Even if she doesn't like swimming as long as she learns it's not scary I'll be happy.
 
Bless! Its good you have a safe place to take her. Are you doing it just to get her used to water or for joint therapy?

I'm mainly doing it to get her used to the water because my dream is to go hiking and have her just jump into a lake. But the joint therapy is great too because she jumps around so much.

(Had to wait until I got to work to watch the video... if one of my guys caught me watching it, I would immediately be suspected of another "water boarding" plot against them) oh Shelties.... :rolleyes2:
