Thanks Trini, Gloria. I do think he is getting a little better with age but he's still kind of like Mr Bean (not sure if you know him in the states haha) and somehow gets himself into the worst situations lol. I can stop most of them now before it gets out if hand.....it's just the climbing still......he always has to be on the highest point.... I think I'll get him a little jetpack for Christmas
Well funny enough.......I dont know if I mentioned this but a few months ago when taking Monty out he ran into the middle of a swampy field chasing pigeons. He then realised he was in the middle of said swamp and wouldnt come back. I went to get him and slipped over the mud bank. I had to carry him out and go back home as my clothes were covered![]()
Tully only gave up trying to jump on the table when she was 13 or 14 and couldn't jump anymore - but she shredded the seats of my kitchen chairs in her attempt to, well I don't know what she was attempting, maybe she thought she could lift herself up with her teeth! Given Monty has no front teeth at least you won't have to worry about that!

The swamp incident reminds me of the time Deska decided to chase some ducks in Lake Burley Griffin when it was -5C! He found an old pier pylon to stand on and then just stayed there barking and whining for me to go get him. As if! A hobo turns up and thinks himself very funny "Look Lassie needs saving". No amount of coaxing would get Mr D out of the water so I ended up asking the hobo to keep an eye on Deska while I went and hid. That got him back. Then I had to transport a freezing, dripping wet Sheltie home.

Oh Lord this really tickled me Caro. Good thinking on your part to hide.
