Thanks for the good laugh!
The story, on reflection, made me wonder just how long you had been in that pub before the "incident" ;) You know what they say about repeating the same actions and expecting a different result, right? LOL

Thanks everyone. I don't know how he does it but we still manage to get into trouble nearly everywhere we go. I can deal with most of his mischief easy enough but the climbing still gets me sometimes. He has to climb up EVERYTHING.........
He even bounced off the side of an ice cream truck trying to jump through the service window. The girls were supposed to be holding him but let him loose...myself, the guy in the truck and the people around just watched as white blur bounced off the side. After everyone jumped because of the bang I realised it was Monty hitting head first into the truck.....The window was way to high he would never make it but he still had to try.....at full speed. I'm just thankful he doesn't have many more teeth he can knock out :rolleyes2:

So the lesson is leave the leash on lock and walk over so he can be petted DTM. They will probably get a laugh (and stay dry) when you explain why you did not let him come over.

Everyone wants to pet Spitfire because of his cute factor but he demands they admire from a distance of no less than 5 feet or if overseas 2m.

I'm going with that idea Sheep haha!
Spitfire just needs a little space, doesn't want the lowly peasants getting too near :lol:

Monty makes me thankful that they don't allow pets in restaurants and pubs in Canada. He is certainly a handful. Perhaps this link will be of interest to you, at least until the memory of the pub visit fades. :)

Thanks Glenn :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Oooooh Monty! Not to worry, Darren...there will never be another Monty, I promise! He is one of a kind. Unless of course it's something in the air in your house LOL. Then you could have a Monty-clone gerbil! :wideyed:

Thanks for sharing this adventure. I've been missing the Monty stories and this was just the start to the day I needed! Repeat after me: Monty + Leash Forever! :ROFLMAO:

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I think I would actually cry If I ended up with a Monty gerbil. I would love to know if he has always had this behavior inside or if it was just my bad parenting that turned him into this :lol:

Thanks Ann I can't agree more:
Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! Monty + Leash Forever! We had probably been in the pub around 45 minutes that day without incident. Things were going well, he was calm and just looking around which kind of lured me in :lol:. We were pretty much alone then though and once other people arrived it all went wrong haha. I'm sure he tries to embarrass me on purpose when people are there :rolleyes2::lol:

:ROFLMAO: I have to agree Margi. I really should have learned by now.

I got a new sideline. Selling these to English Pubs.
