Does your Sheltie punish his/her self?

When Bailey had his crate up all the time he would self crate when he was caught. It was really hard not to laugh.

Now he refuses to look at you and will try to bring you a toy to "make peace."

Beckers has no concept of wrong -- thank God he's naturally good. If he does by chance make an error -- like nibbling on the rug fringe -- and I catch him, I get this bright-eyed look like, "Oh, hi, Mom!!!!" and a big smile. :rolleyes2:

They make it so hard to be firm don't they?

Miko definitely reads me, but it's still funny and I feel guilty for getting mad (even when I have the right to be mad). He will go into a sit and give you the saddest face ever. He doesn't sulk off or anything. Just sits there. When hubby or anyone else gets angry, he usually comes to me and tries to climb into my lap. That's when I know something is bad.

Koji on the other hand, seems to have no remorse. The more happy he seems, the more guilty he looks. Now that he jumps up on our beds (spare room), he comes trotting into the living room (versus walking) and I immediately think he's been up to no good. Even if the evidence is all over him, he'll just act like nothing happened.

Sca is a shoe thief and comes running out of the bedroom with one. I give the hey! and zoom back into the bedroom almost where he got it. I go in and get it to put up. He looks down at the shoe, up at me and flashes the Sheltie smile like well I am the Sca! No guilt in his shoe stealing hide

When I was house breaking Lacey, when she would do the odd accident she would come right to me and just stare right at me. Then as soon as I would stand up/grab something just move in general she would run away with her tail under her bum, and hide on me. After once I caught on and whenever I see her staring at me, then trot off real fast, i get suspicous...:uhoh:

McKinley here.

No way, Are you nuts?

I don't admit anything unless caught in the act and then I have two options:

1) Say that Teddy the Terror made me do it.

2) Or say Teddy did it and I was just trying to put it back together or clean it up!

MMM.

LOL...that's great!!!!
