Does your Sheltie punish his/her self?

I don't know how to link things here yet so I will just suggest taking a look at the perfect guilty sheltie look on you tube it's titled "I've been naughty" She is just precious another pup who got in some trouble called 'Macy's Sticky Business" :uhoh::uhoh::lol:

Innocent

Indie here,
Man there is just no way that I would ever admit that I am guilty of something. When I get caught red-pawed, I just look up at mom with my big chocolate brown eyes, give her that famous sheltie smile and I can get away with almost anything. :smile2: It's the eyes that do it for me every time....I've got it down to a science. If by some small chance the eyes don't work, I just jump up on her lap and cuddle and give her sheltie kisses...gets 'em everytime without fail.....:wink2:

Meggie definitely shows guilt. She has this pitiful expression with her ears back, etc. But Cooper has no shame whatsoever! He's like Bailey. Well, he doesn't bark at me when I clean up the paper he has chewed, but he tries to prevent me from doing so, steals paper and runs away, etc. You have to laugh he's so brazen about it!

Dylan shows no guilt until he gets scolded. Then he looks at me with corner of his eyes and stays out of my way until I go get him and tell him it is fine.

Yup Bailey will steal some chewed up paper too. What she does is she'll bark at me as I'm cleaning up chewed up paper, paper towels, tissues, etc... "bark, bark, bark. Hey! What are you doing with my paper? bark, bark, bark It's my paper!!!! Bark, bark, bark" and then she'll grab whatever piece I didn't pick up yet and run away. Crazy doggie. I usually just close the door, so she can't get in the room or I put her in her crate until everything is all cleaned up.

When Ainsley does something wrong she runs into her crate with this guilty expression on her face. I don't know if she is punishing herself or trying to hide; I have never used the crate for punishment.

Of course, next time she will do the same naughty thing that she did before and run into the crate again when she sees me coming.
