After making this and your mention of yogurt you could probably combine the two (yogurt, water and corn starch) which is likely what they do. The cornstarch really helps the icing to dry.

They look good enough for humans to eat! Maybe I will have to make Valentine's cookies for my classes!

They did crack the following day so I’d do a thicker icing or dip and once dry dip again. That might help although I’m sure the dogs wouldn’t mind haha
