Thanks so much - We BOTH have gone through this pain of doing ears not ever thinking it would work out. In the end, with persistence, they did! Go figure!

Our breeder has Katie's ears tipped...in a way I've never seen...that's not a bow on her head, it's a piece of yarn that is threaded under a piece of tape on each ear. It doesn't bother her in the least..but my husband does not want it done again! Our angel sheltie Sasha never had her ears tipped and she had very large ears!
She eventually grew into her ears! But one stood up and one tipped over.
I definitely want to continue to tip Katie's ears if I can!

Sasha was one beautiful little girl! She reminds me of our little Jasmine. Her ears were up and she was adorable.

Checkers and Ruffles have perfect ears. Will some dogs' ears grow naturally 3/4 tipped without being glued? Can someone post a link to ear tipping instructions?

Yes, it is possible that some shelties have naturally tipped ear. However, I do not believe that is the norm.
My dear Logan had naturally tipped ears and he threw that into his babies.

Luna has big ears as well.I started tipping Liam's ears at 1/3 from the top and eventually, they would pop up!
I then tipped them lower and now they perfect. I would go 1/2 way.
Then again, I guess it depends on how big their ears are! Liam has BIG ears!
