Early Start on Keepsakes

We’ll start worrying when you buy a spinning wheel and start making yarn. The heart is adorable imho.

I remember decades ago reading about a Brazilian lady who saved her dogs fur, carded it, spun it, made into yarn and knitted things with it. That might be too much ;)

Hahaha, I am 100% certain I do not have the dedication to do that! I can't even imagine. It was a fight to get Honey to stay still long enough for me to get the amount of fur I needed for the heart.

Jeanne McNally of Shamrock Art who did Checkers' portait felts Shelties, and she's branched out to other breeds too. Her work is amazing. Someday I want to have her do a feltie for me.

Those are absolutely amazing. I would love to get one of Honey and Mango. Guess my husband will just have to live with bundles of dog fur filling the shelves!

The felt dogs are just amazing. There's a lady in Japan that I watch making them on FB. I don't think I'll ever be that good, but maybe a face or a paw will do me (actually just a paw might be creepy). I've also collected a little cat fur so I can do a felt picture - but the cats are very non-compliant!
