Earnhardt's diagnosis is cancer

Oh no, poor Ernie really has had a tough couple of years wth the arthritis and now this. He is certainly a very brave and stoic dog, do you think the others have noticed he is so unwell?

Sorry, I've been away so not sure whether you mentioned where the cancer is located. I'm really shocked, it's the last thing I expected you to say was wrong, you must be reeling with the news. Hugs to you all.

Well this is the worst news possible. I'm so sorry to hear it. I pray Ernie's days are filled with love & companionship until her gets to go run at the bridge.

It is in his hips. The masses that we found (3) were biopsied. One had cancerous cells.

I'm sorry about your Ernie, doesn't matter that he's not a sheltie, he's still your baby, when I was younger my next door neighbors had lab. That dog knew when we were suppose to be at the bus stop in the morning and when we were suppose to be there in the afternoon and always waited for us. When we had days off he come wait for us at the bottom of our drive way. Made our dogs crazy. But, he was a smart dog

I'm so sorry for Earnie diagnosis. Poor guy :(. I know you will make sure he is happy and comfortable for as long as you can. My thoughts are with you.

I am so sorry to hear about Ernie, Michele. It indeed is a shock when something like this seemingly comes out of the blue.

I hope that your vet can keep him comfortable for a good while and that you can spend this time loving on your gentle, big fellow.

Oh, Earnhardt. I am so very sorry. You wonderful, big, kind Sheltie Big Brother, the world needs you. Love your Mom and Dad every minute of every day, and say this prayer:

Dear St. Francis,
Mom and Dad just found out that I am very sick, and I may be coming to your Bridge before too long. I'm ok with that because I know it's just a little while before we're all together again. What I'm asking is, please, help my family in the days to come. Comfort them and help them believe I couldn't have asked for a better life. No dog on earth ever felt more loved -- by them and by my little brothers and sister. If I could tell them, I would. For now, my love and your support will have to be enough.
In the name of the Good Shepherd I ask,
Amen

Oh Michele, I'm so very sorry to hear this. My heart is breaking for you and Brian. I've never gotten to meet Ernie personally, but feel I know him through your stories. This is such devastating news. You and Brian are in my thoughts.
