Ellie's BAAAADDDD Behavior!

Oh, I hope you continue -- therapy work is so incredibly rewarding!

I would love to do therapy work. I work at a mental hospital (insert all jokes here) and we have four therapy dogs come up every Thursday: A Rottie (!!), a Sheltie mix, an Australian Sherpard, and a Dalmation. Oh, and sometimes we get a BIG Gernam Shepard. They are all so sweet and calm. Ellie just LOVES all people, she just needs to calm doooooowwwwwnnnn. She's jsut a baby though and she has LOTs of enthusiasm! LOL!

I'm so sorry and appalled that the MD bit you and Ellie; I would call the MD's owner passive-aggressive...she allows the bad stuff to happen and may even through her apparent "misunderstanding" of instructions be encouraging it to happen.

I'm glad that you and Ellie have come through and learned from the classes and the experience.

She's a hard gone to understand. She is the only owner who is unfriendly. the rest of us all joke and pet each other's dogs and make comments about them, but she marches in and marches out and never speaks. I dunno. Like I said before, I really have no idea why she signed up for the class. She could be extremely embarassed by her dog's behavior and is simply overwhelmed.

No jokes from me -- Layla's best work happens in the inpatient psychiatric ward at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. :wink2:

Good! The therapy dogs were at work today and there was a Standard Poodle! Beautiful dog! There was an inpatient today bragging about his Shelties! I chimed right in with the conversation and we had a small bonding session talking about our favorite breed! :)
