Everett "Noses After His treats"

Everett is not eating..

We are visiting the vet tomorrow to see if there is anything to stimulate his appetite, but I am thinking his time is close. He has no weight on him, sleeps a lot. He wants to eat, but drops anything he takes into his mouth. Sometimes we can get him to lick up some baby food, but in the last few days its just been a wee bit.
He doesn't seem to be in pain, but to see this once energetic little guy wobble as he walks hurts.
Anyway, that's my update, things are sad around here...

I'm so sorry he's declining. I know he's had a wonderful life with you. Cherish each and every day you have together.:hugs
 
Steve - Go to dogaware.com There is a wealth of information on kidney disease, and information on how to manage your dogs diet. You can also join the Yahoo group K9kidneydiet. Everyone in this group is dealing with kidney disease, and there is lots of information and support. The most important thing is too keep him eating. Been down this road, so I know what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
 
There is nothing that can be done, his kidneys are not working; the vet told us (and I agree) to keep him comfortable.. Big sadness.
 
So sorry for you. Hope your beloved Everett will be able to stay comfortable and know he's loved until that time comes.
 
Steve, I am so sorry to read this update on your beloved Everett. I know you will do everything you can to keep him comfortable and will be by his side when comfort is no longer possible and the time comes to let him go on his final journey.

PS -- I love his name. My Mom's maiden name was Everett.
