Welcome! The time will fly and before you know it you will have your new bundle of joy at home! Will this be your first sheltie?

I had a sheltie for 8 years & my tasha went to heaven this october:cry: i have been in touch with the breeder in oregon, just a little upset as that i feel lack of updates or details

Welcome to the forum!

As others have stated, a waiting list is not usual. First pick from our litter went to a couple that have been waiting...they were just a tad too late in requesting a pup from Sasha's litter and so they waited for Emma's litter.

While you're waiting just cruise thru the threads and ask your questions and check out all the nice photo albums from the members. In no time you'll have your baby and then you can post all the poop and food and training questions and we'll shamelessly beg for tons of pictures.

Where are you located? So you have not physically seen or been to talk to the breeder in person,I take?

I sense a bit of you being upset, and thats not fair to you, since this should be a happy time, lookig forward to your babe coming home.

I think I would be as upset also,if I was not getting updates or details. If distance is an issue, the least she can do is be in touch with you somehow.

Is there someone you know, that could maybe give the breeder a visit that lives closer to her.Family, friend that could help you out.

I live about 5 hours to where my breeder is located, but we were kept in the loop, either by videos, many phone conversations. And we were able to follow from the first few days, right up until homecoming day~

Is the bitch expecting or already pregnent? How far along is she? There may not be much in the way of updates yet.. The updates would be.. She ate fine and we can see her belly...

Next day...She ate fine and we can see her belly...

It takes time hehe

expecting well don't know 4 sure

I really have no idea, all i was told is that the pups could go home in may & that she would be breeding her dog. I don't even know for sure if i get a pup or what. really confused & upset because i lost my Tasha in october:(:uhoh: any help from my sheltie friends out there

Great Advice

Thanks to all my sheltie friends, for shareing. i have contacted the breeder again & just waiting for an answer, about ready to give up all together & go with a lab:sadsmile:

I need to step in here for the new members & remind everyone that "general" breeding conversations are encouraged, but please refrain from publicly mentioning specific breeders, litters available & the prices they charge.

I am increasing have to delete posts from new members who seem to not be aware of the no advertising policy.

Dogs / Puppies– Only general discussion about the buying, leasing, selling and pricing of dogs is permitted. If the post contains the type of specific information typically found in a sales or wanted ad, and it’s related to a dog you or an associate are looking for or are looking to sell, it doesn’t belong in the discussion forums.

The rules are posted for new members repeatedly until they are confirmed AND they are posted at the top of every category.

Thanks to all! :biggrin2:

I apologize. I bad! It just struck me that there was something wrong with this. And I forgot the rules, wanting to get to the bottom of it - particularly because we'd been posting lately about puppy mills.

On that note....a number of us have posted websites that we believe to be puppymills. Is that against the rules?
