Fasb passed on a month ago

:hugs to you both. They definitely leave paw prints on our hearts and souls, that's for sure. There will be days when it hits you hard and that'll be normal. Even when you think enough time has passed, well, it'll still hit hard. You two were wonderful parents and guardians to Fasb.

Thank you to everyone who posted here or contacted us to express their sympathies. It's been a lot harder than us than we expected. We still miss him a lot.

I think I speak for everyone when I say we miss him, too.

This little online world at SheltieNation lets us share our love for our pups that most people just can't quite understand.

Thought things were beginning to improve, but Fasb's been on my mind quite a bit the past few weeks. Personally, I've still rather sad. It's been quite an adjustment.

We had wanted to start looking for a new dog by the beginning of March, but we're not ready. Wife and I can't even think too seriously about another pet yet. I think it will be September before we start a serious dog hunt.

The time is right when you both are ready. It took me at least a year before I was really ready and we all know it's different for everyone. Heck, I still miss Miko even though I have Vogue now. Fasb will always be in our hearts and I'm sure, with time, it'll get easier (not sure when). More :hugs to the two of you.

There's no timeline for your grief. :hugs Don't let anyone tell you any different. I went a year between when I lost my first dog (a non-Sheltie) and when I started looking for my Sheltie. Time does heal broken hearts but sometimes it takes quite a while.
