Favorite Shampoo and Conditioners

I'm a big fan of the Plush Puppy, I use both the Primrose shampoo and the Conditioning shampoo. For rinses instead of full wash I use the seabreeze oil (also use it as a spray on conditioner). I tried a dry conditioner but found it dried out their fur too much (I live in a dry climate).

I have thought about buying some of the Plush Puppy conditioner. I will do that once I run out of the CC conditioner.

I LOVE Plush Puppy's Puffy Dog. It's so awesome. :biggrin2: It makes Smudge's ruff feel so nice and soft. I have some of the sea breeze oil, too. A little of that stuff goes a long way. A dab will do ya.

Yes I have the puppy dog too - makes them look all full and fluffy (not that they need it atm), and it helps stick down Deska's boofy forehead fur.

Justice-CC clean start -he has an dry oil buildup issue. No conditioner
Ember- All Systems Whitening Shampoo or Crown Royal(3) and CC after bath
Diva- I think Rachel's uses Biogroom Ultra Black and the Thick and Thicker protein thing? If I bathe her, I use Crown Royal (Formula 3) shampoo, NO conditoner.

I have a whole arsenal of shampoos :)
but mostly I use
CC Clean Start, CC day to day, or Crown Royal
Out of all of them I love the smell of the Crown Royal....It lathers up really well and works good on those coats that are realllly dirty and grimy! And I have a few of those here:lol:

I used some white on white on Sca the other night. He is back to being a tri color. It got the Alabama red mud off and the big grease stain he had from going under the motorhome to help change plugs  I didn't see any info but I had most of his head wet also and it did not seem to bother him. He also attempted to do his parrot imitation and soaked me in it and I have no side effects  Tonight he gets brushed out before the big snip and implant so it will be interesting to see on tangles (think I have some conditioner also)

For those of you who have used the black on black-

Is it like a color shampoo? :uhoh: I don't know how to explain exactly what I mean. Like...is a shampoo that stains the fur with a black color?

I'm still not sure I made sense, but maybe somebody can understand my question anyway.

Fluffy is getting a rusty red color to the back and side of her ears. If you get the black on black shampoo on the white ruff does it stain the white ruff black?

Not sure about the black on black.

But the only places I use white on white,is on the white areas of Trapp.Ruff, leggs etc. I let it set a bit, then rinse, then continue with other shampoo.

Coat handler all the way!!!

as a dog groomer i have used tons of diff shampoos. i always keep coming back to the coat handler products. it is amazing!

Well, I've never given by boys a full bath - I go to the groomers for that. But I do have Mane and Tail on standby - recommended I think by both Ann and OntarioSheltie.

For between baths, I rely on Chris Christensen Show Off (Dry Shampoo) and Ice on Ice (leave in conditioner).

I don't bathe often - only every 3 months or so. I use the dry shampoo to brush out in between. Works great!

I highly recommend Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner. It works better than any of the pet store shampoos I've tried. It leaves their coats silky and fresh smelling (but not overly strong), and makes their roughs and any white areas absolutely glow. And if that wasn't enough, 1L is only $8 at Walmart. It is very concentrated so it lasts a long time. I've had my bottle for 2+ years and I use it to bath 3 shelties. It's only now running low. The conditioner lasts even longer since you need even less.
