First time trying to tape ears...grrr

I use Unisolve for removing the tape, wait a day, then clean them with rubbing alcohol and a gauze pad/cotton ball, and wait 1 hour for the ears to dry. Does rubbing alcohol not remove unisolve residue?

ive found even with waiting and alcohol it still leaves a residue on the hair so its doenst stick...I dont know why though nothing seems to cut though it. Ive tried several things...thats when I went to the zo-eze. We can take out ears right before going in the ring and you cant tell...no residue.

I started first with hair extension glue from Sally's Beauty Supply, but, was having trouble getting it out without pulling out her hair. Then I switched to moleskin, using 2 pieces and gluing them together with speed sew and using uni-solve to remove them. Sometimes it holds for 3-4 days and sometimes it comes loose the very next day. But, no, I've not had any irritation on her ears yet. One ear is set, but the other flops down. I'm really frustrated! I've never had a problem with trying to get the ear to stand up before..

*Sigh* And here I have Detachol and Unisolve, both great products but a little oily, guess the third one will be the charm :wink2:

Just sucked it up and ordered my Zo-eze. I went with ebay though. Wickets by Mel is AWESOME for my tape, but I don't need Zo-eze that fast so I went with cheaper (got my dogs' ears to stay put for today :smile2:). $17. Thanks for all the tips LightPlum. Look at the difference taping has made! Before and after...granted they're not "perfect"yet. But the latter pic is day 2 with his ears free...they stay tipped.
