Been there, 'shared' that.

I just feel in my bones that Ruffles and Angus will both be home soon.

If anyone knows the local TV channels Angus' location, we try the same thing. Would it be a Charlotte station, Raleigh-Durham, Ashville? I'm not at all familiar with that area, so I don't have any idea.

From looking at a map...I think Asheville is the closest big city.

Thanks for helping out Rufflies!

I am not sure about Angus having a FB page. I know Judy, with Ruffles, has been relentless and trying all outlets to get the word out regarding Ruffles. Ruffles page has been up a little while now and miraculously has over 1200 members. I think that is why the newschannel picked it up, because there are so many people involved in trying to get her home.

I will go over to Angus's thread and suggest that someone makes up a FB page for him as well (if it has not already been done).

Good Morning!

For those of you that did not see the posts over the weekend, I wanted to list out the things that you CAN do to try and bring ruffles home. I have been feeling helpless living so far away, but feel like by doing these things, I CAN help out Ruffles:

Here they are:

1. Join the Help Find Ruffles FB page. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/group.php?gid=130392486978346&ref=ts

2. Post a request on this new channels FB page asking them to run the Ruffles story:
http://www.facebook.com/bn9fans. To post a request, hit the "like" button once you are on the page and a text box will appear for you to type in the comment.

3..Go to Shep's FB page on Fox News, as he is an animal lover. Here is his FB page. The more people asking for this story to air, the better chance we have for finding Ruffles.
http://www.facebook.com/ShepardSmith To post a request, hit the "like" button once you are on the page and a text box will appear for you to type in the comment.

4. As you saw, the local TV station picked up the story of Ruffles because she has become a FB phenomenon with close to 1200 members of her FB page. So...we thought this was such a cool story that we could try and get the attention of the drudgereport and the huffington post. So.....please send an e-mail to them at these addresses:
[email protected]
[email protected]

Please share this link with them: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1457281628434&ref=mf and ask them to put it up on their sites.

I REALLY appreciate EVERYONES help with this. We are GOING to bring her home......and the more people that get involved the better.

All this takes is a few minutes.

Thank-you VERY much
Danielle

I agree with the previous post by Sunchaser regarding a trap and KFC chicken. Izzie was missing for 11 days in the dead of the winter. We borrowed a live trap from our local Sheltie rescue group after there was a sighting. We finally trapped her with KFC chicken after a few days. Also had tuna in the trap. I would be tempted to put a trap near the last sighting. I was told by several people that once a sheltie is on the run they can become feral and will not come to their owner even if they are near. This definitely was the case with Izzie. She was found near where she took off and we canvassed this area numerous times. I know she saw us and heard us but survival instincts took over. Ten minutes after we had her home she was back to her old self. Keep the faith. I will keep both Ruffles and Angus in my prayers.

Thanks.

Yes...this was done for up to a week in the area of her last sighting. No luck :( But I really appreciate the ideas....keep them coming.

I think this area is unique in the fact that it is VERY populated, unlike the area where Angus is lost in. Which makes it very odd that she has not been seen at all in 3 weeks. Based on this, I really doubt that she is running around loose where a trap would work at this point. My best guess is that someone has her.

But.....I will also check and see if they think maybe it is worth a try to do this again.

Thanks

At this point, even tho Raleigh, and other places are not close...it would not hurt to contact them just the same.

If we get some noise about Angus,on another station, saying the area news station would not do a storie because of polices..you want to bet, some folks at News 13 would be shaking in thier boots, because of disgruntled folks, all over that have worked feverishly in trying to find Angus.

I intend to send emails to every station I can in NC news area.

Just to avoid confusion....this was about Angus in NC.

Ruffles is missing in Florida :biggrin2:
