frito feet

Well, Tansy is lying on the sofa next to me as I read all these posts. I grabbed her right back foot, and gave it a big sniff. It smells great! Just like all my sheltie's feet. I agree it is more popcorn then frito. Remember, they sweat through the pads of their feet, so an earthy smell is normal.

All mine have "Frito feet" and always have. I love it! Beckon (Colonel Underpants) has a musky "guy aroma," too. Layla always smells like flowers. Annie Laurie has a very distinctive Annie-roma that I would know anywhere. And Bitsy Boodle always smells like fresh air and new-mown hay!

Zulu was snoozing on the couch next to me, and I just had to do it. Wet hay. It has been raining for the last couple of days. The wife gave me a funny look.

not sure if it was related but....

Savannah got spayed last friday...she has been crated most of the week to keep her calm and allow for healing. We have had snow, so when she gets out, she's walking on snow covered areas. Guess what....the musty frito feet odor abated. I don't know if it was the spay, the limited outdoor exposure, but my musky earthy scented pup is actually smelling WAY better. Her eau de stench doesn't gag me... I can still detect my pups by their individual odor, but at least for now I am enjoying the improvement.
