Gas-y

Our current dogs don't have this problem, but our past ones have...in particular, our very first dog, Muffin...a West Highland White Terrier. She used to sleep under our bed and in the middle of the night The Green Cloud would float on top of us...it was deadly!!! :eek2:

Barkley and Pixie are burpers. Nice, juicy, dog food burps. And they delight in jumping up on your lap and letting go in your face. And they look so pleased....:rolleyes2:

Too funny! I have to say Clancy is a burper. Which is fine...better out than in and all that...but why does he have to get right up in my face when he belches?!? My hubby says it's his way of saying 'thanks for the grub'....

OMG!!! I'm cracking up over here!! My girls only burp - in my face just like everyone else's dogs!!

Maybe Ziek is eating something that his belly doesn't really like. Might be worth taking notes as to what you are feeding him everyday and seeing when he has it the worst. It might be his kibble if it is an everyday thing. Let us know how he is doing!

OMG! I cannot believe this conversation is going on! And I thought I was bad for introducing off the wall topics!

I'm blessed that neither of my dogs has ever tooted in my presence! But there is always a first for everything!

i know that ziek gets gas-y after certain foods but man does he have alot of gas sometimes, like after cheese which happens to be his favorite food. he burps in front of our face before giving us a kiss sometimes. he's okay though...he eats everything we give him (sometimes a bit too fast but not always).

seriously though when he farted those two times it seemed like he did it on purpose just so we'd move over.

Buddy is the one that surprises himself when he farts. He also looks behind his butt and then looks at me. I tell him "I didn't do it, you did". FancyFace had colitis and her farts were unbearable and frequent. My husband kept talking about making her an outside dog, but he was only kidding.

ziek use to be surprised after he farted too. he'd look at us like we did it to him. ha ha.

My shelties don't fart, we just have to make sure that Lady has her "poop chute" cut. Hmmmm they don't belch either. At least farts ya don't have to clean up though, like dingle berries.

My husband does the rip-its, and says he just stepped on a frog. Well do frogs stink? Oh my too much info here.

Sometimes Layla finishes her dinner and stands right up, looks vaugely into the distance, and belches. It's so funny, because she really looks like this perfect little porcelain princess -- and then she does this earthy belch with the most prim look on her face!

I always warn people

THat Gavin gets flatulant when fed people food. Somehow that sounds better than saying he farts! Anyway, it has happened several times on the way back from a backpacking trip (where people always feed him their food). All of a sudden, the windows will go down as the driver gets a whiff :) So now that I warn people 'no people food for the Sheltie the day we return', it has gotten better. But every once in a while.....and his farts aren't as cute as his burps.
He just looks too darn cute and satisfied with those!

Cindy
