Maybe you could combine the beach that he loves with an activity that uses less energy on his part.(thinking picnic) so he still has fun.

So since Gavin is a geriatric guy in his sunset days I am wondering is we should have a celebration once a month...like a mini birthday. Not that his entire life isn't pretty cushy and all..... thoughts?
LOVE this! And once a week maybe leave something extra in his trash can to discover!

Great ideas Sandy! Personally I’d leave a little bit of yogurt in the container for him to findYou were asking about puppacino, yes - all whipped cream - same as pup cups. I got one for hte boys on their birthday and threw one out, split half of one with them - FAR too much (IMO) - to be giving a dog. You could buy a can of real whipped cream and do a little dollop on your own.
My boys favorite treat is a Dunkin Donut munchin. They like the plain glazed, are not a fan of the 'old fashioned' one which is like a heavy, cake texture but also does not have the sweet glazed. They are not low cal - old fashioned is 60 and glazed is 70, but you could always get one, split it in half - toss one in your recycle bin for him to find and store the other in a zip loc until later in the week. The recycle bin might be annoying to you, but he is using his scent to find stuff and his brain is working a lot as he is sifting through whatever you leave there so it's mental exercise!
Enablers.... all SN folks are enablers...![]()
