Get a tri-colour!

My tri-boy (Sheltie Angel) was both supersmart, and the world's most well behaved doggie. He constantly studied everything that I said and did, with the goal of making me happy, and always succeeded. There wasn't a "naughty" bone in his body.

Julip is the biggest attention getting magnet I've ever seen!

The "regulars" at the dog park refer to her as "The Darling of the Dog Park". :yes: As everyone LOVES her look! Her personality is perfect to match - which of course helps.

We get asked SO many questions about her colouring, its really an awesome thing!

Plus she interests both "small dog people" & "big dog people".
You know how on average people are one or the other (I for one, will swoon over a cute Shih Tzu - but won't look twice at a Doberman, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Black Lab etc.):uhoh:
But her being mid size, she attracts ALL. As people with big dog fears are not afraid of her & people who only appreciate small breeds consider her still an acceptable size to inquire about.

I think having 5 at once, all in the different colours (tri, bi-black, bi-blue, sable, blue merle) would be SO neat! :cool:

Cranberry the sable merle is offended- there are 6 colors and 6 more if you include color headed whites in all the regular colors......

and take out a brown dog with one brown eye and one blue eye:winkgrin:
 
Oops SORRY Cranberry - actually I really like sable merles too! :biggrin2:

Was seriously looking at 1 on the internet (before Julip) - but it was a singleton pup & I worried about the socialization. After having a rescued dog with a lot of issues previously - most that she just couldn't over come, I wanted a GOOD start on the socialization as possible! :wink2:

Cranberry is such a striking sable merle. Pike barely gets reconized as different from a stable.

I do have those 5 colors and Rachel has 5(but the sable merle instead of the sable). Jamie is share by us so he counts as the bi black for both of us. Sables are a rare thing in our houses. We have tons of those devil Tris and blues.

I did want a smerle that you could tell what he was:yes:
and when I saw his puppy pic- well you know that story:wink2:

last Nadac trial, the judge walked by our little xpen area after the trial was over and said "sable merle?" and I said yes. I'm always surprised and pleased when there are people who actually know:smile2:

She had shelties in the past.....
 
I've always been a sucker for sables, and just by chance my breeder was a sable only breeder. In this area, I don't see much outside that color, all the shelties here are pretty much sable. I've seen a few that look like anaruadh's Luna but not alot. I have always thought how much fun it would be to have a sheltie in a 'different color', it truly is amazing all the colors shelties can span to, even with a "sable". Precious is SO reddd :P
