Getting a new puppy!

My wife and I with Sadie (Jack's sister) went today to pick our new puppy. Of course, we picked the puppy that the breeder is considering keeping but our second chose is equally nice. We decided that we would love either. We pick up our new addition on next Saturday, 1/16. I can't post a picture yet... need more posts. I swear that the puppy picked us. He came over to me and allow me to pick him up and was very comfortable while I held him. He and his brother, the other one we are interested in, got back into the pen and started playing, pulling on each other tales. Then a minute later, they fell asleep. My wife and I can't wait for next Saturday.

Congratulations on getting picked by your pup...it often happens this way!! :smile2:

Being a very new member can be confusing as to what you can and can't do yet. At any time all members, even new ones, can post a link to a picture sharing web site. To actually embed a pic into your post, as you may have noticed some members doing, you have to be a premium member...details on that are under "become a premium member" at the left top of the page in the dark blue area. And if you have questions, please feel free to ask at any time.

oh, how I love / know this, such have my dogs also chosen me.

Minnie immediately ran straight up to me :hugs and made contact several times in between she was busy playing.

Her sister had absolutely no interest in me.

We wait for the photo of your little miracle.

Thanks Donald and Cara for enlightening me about the benefits of agility complementary to therapy training.

You are so welcome. I have to wait a year before I can begin agility with my new puppy but I should be busy with other lessons over the next year. We went and bought 16" shelving and made a pen for Gus today plus temp floor under it for protection. Found a dealer that sells kraft paper to help with clean up. Should be ready by Saturday for the new adventure.

Four more days of waiting to bring our new puppy home. Four more days for us, Sadie and the kitten to have our normal routine. When we lost Jack, the biggest hurt was the missing of the normal routine that we had with him in the morning and at night, just before going to bed. I find it amazing how our pets set the routines. We play "hid and seek" with Sadie in the morning. The kitten loves to help make the bed, etc. What new games with the new puppy introduce us to?

Get plenty of sleep over the next 4 days!! You must all be so excited. Yes, our little ones do set their own "routine of happiness" that we have to follow...and each is unique in the joy they bring us.

Last Saturday, we brought Gus home. We got the puppy that we picked out and he is beautiful. He rode home in a cat carrier and didn't make any fuss at all. So far, he loves his crate and goes into it on his own. One minute, he is picking on the cat and the next, he disappears into his crate sleeping. He has been doing great going to the bathroom outside but today, we had a few accidents and I believe it is because it is so cold (a high of 25 degrees F). Over the past few days, he has really begun to bond with us and really has been fun to play with. I think we will keep him.:biggrin2:

Congratulations on your little Gus - yes, he really sounds like someone who is worth keeping. :wink2:

But we need just a few pictures to be absolutely sure :lol:
