How do you feed them? Raw? Boiled? Over easy?

Any way! I gave Hadley raw (shell and all) and it gave her like insanely loose stools so I haven't dared to go there again. I heard that boiled is just as good, though. Not sure how accurate that is. I've even heard of people scrambling them.

Careful with feeding a lot of liver. I do believe that you can cause bone spurs and bone damage if you feed liver more than 3 times a week from Vitamin A toxicity. This among other problems.

And also insanely crazy diarrhea! I would be careful about testing out the amount and start slow as mine just eat about a quarter sized piece of liver a week and a quarter sized piece of kidney or sweetbread.

Why isn't beef liver as good? That's what I've been giving mine, but could easily switch to chicken. I just try to stay away from all things chicken as my kids don't fancy them AS much and it doesn't give them that burst of energy like every other meat. I can get duck liver pretty cheap and easy, though and also duck heart and giblet which I tried out and they loved!

I give Bailey half a scrambled egg every once in a while. She loves it!

I agree with this to some extent...with one exception.

My dogs do agility very, very often. They are not from performance lines. I think of them the way I think of human athletes in terms of their intake. They require different nutrients when they are working harder than usual.

College and professional (I know, my dogs are not professionals, but they work as hard sometimes!) athletes are on strictly regimented diets which include numerous supplements.

(Also, I would prefer to feed raw as far as "feeding the right food" goes, but right now I can't. So I supplement.)

That makes sense for dogs that are in specialized sports. But for the average dog, not so much.

I read the other day that poached eggs are better than scrambled so I guess that would apply to the dogs too. I give mine a scrambled egg every Friday.
Wonder where I can find venison liver or duck liver?

Do you know why poached eggs are better? I give mine a scrambled egg once a week, too.
