Goodbye Mr. Bobby

For about ten years or so I owned a little half-Sheltie named Boo Boo, while my daughter owned a part-Schipperke named Bess. Boo Boo and Bess were fast friends, and had some of the best traits of the pure breeds that were in them. Bess died in 2011, while little Boo Boo passed away last November. My daughter finally replaced Bess with a cute and lovable little Schipperke named Cali. My wife and I replaced Boo Boo with our new little Sheltie, Dickens.

It seems so strange, but the two of them seem to be carbon copies of their predecessors. I suggested to my daughter that perhaps they're the reincarnations of Boo Boo and Bess. She didn't argue the point!

I am so deeply sorry. Although I didn't actually know Bobby, through your postings, I became one of his biggest fans! Cheering him on with each and every successful OSS. They are never with us long enough, never! I hope you find peace as you reminisce and know that I will never forget your dear sweet Bobby.

This is such sad news. I am so sorry for you. You were an awesome care taker and companion for him. He was so lucky to have you in his life.

I agree re the Vets ...we have a very compassionate one too and he was a blessing when our Kayla Sheltie crossed the Bridge 4 years ago!
