I've been obsessed with dogs all my life, but didn't get my first Sheltie (my beloved Sunny) until 1991. Immediately I realized this was the breed for me and I don't want any other type of dog. Sunny was the best thing that ever happened to me. We shared almost 14 years together. After Sunny crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I got Daisy, who will be 6 in December. Personality-wise, Daisy is almost a polar opposite of Sunny, but they have in common many of the traits that make Shelties so special (and if you're a Sheltie person, you know what those are).

I look forward to sharing stories and information with other Sheltie lovers in these forums.

Welcome!!!... I too have been dog crazy all my life... but only very recently has my lifestyle allowed me to have a dog... I decided on a sheltie and I couldn't be happier!! Whenever people talk about "sheltie ways" and "sheltie traits" I'm intrigued, excited and a little spooked all at the same time. I keep wondering what I may have gotten myself into!! LOL

Can't wait to see some pics!!! :smile2:
