We brought Kasey (6 mo old female sheltie) into our family in May, first sheltie, first dog. Its been quite an adventure but I think training is going well, she has trained us to close the closet doors, pick up the polly pockets, get up at 6:30 am sharp, and keep the bathroom garbage can on the counter.

Another welcome to the Forum. Kasey is a beautiful girl. I also know about being trained by a Sheltie. Spencer is over three years old now and I still won't leave a box of Kleenix tissues within his reach if I go out without him. Shred, shred, shred!

Thanks for the warm welcome! We had Kasey spade this week so things have been a little chaotic. She doesn't seem to been in pain (running and chasing the cat) but she must not be comfortable either because she just doesn't settle, she's been pacing around and whining.

I would call the vet on Mon. and see what they think about the pacing and the whining. To me that says something is off and they might want to see her. I would just be cautious.
