Had a horrible dream about my dog

Enjoy your Furkid, Nikki !!

It's horrible when you have bad dreams about our Children and furkids. It's just meaning that you are very concerned. Help her by giving her some lower calorie snacky treats. Enjoy the times with Nikki, and cherish them. Too many of us have not been granted the joy of having our furkids for that many years. Of course I don't ever think we have them here long enough. Give her lots of hugs and attention and the fact that she still has an appetite is a great sign.

green beans huh, i'll have to try that, just have to keep her away from the other dogs food though. she always eats her food and starts after the other dogs food.
I found out that my dad was feeding her the soup left over from his ramen noodles its no wander she looks like a balloon, all that sodium in that soup isnt good for her.

Im actually not sure now if its her thyroid, i read up on it and says that a dog with hyperthyroid eats less and has excessive weight gain and has loss of fur.
well no loss of fur, but her appetite has actually increased plus her intake of water has increased also.
im going to have her checked out, soon.

How much does she weigh? She actually does not look that fat to me.

I would get her checked out for thyroid - hyper or hypo - the increased water intake alone would be an indication. Normally, though with hyper, they eat all the time, become nervous/anxious and lose weight anyway. With hypo, they gain weight and lose energy

Many of you have mentioned taking pictures the best thing we ever did was get a cam corder.....we were able to get lot's of video of Katie before we had to let her go, and we needed to take more and we need to get more of Maggie.
