Hartley has mucus in stool. Coccidia?

One word of advice I can offer when it comes to GI problems - do everything very slowly. Continue what your feeding for a good week if not two, then gradually start mixing in the food you were feeding before, again slowly. At this time I would not add/mix anything in. A couple weeks w/o things like milk thistle will not hurt. Then gradually add one thing at a time for a good week before adding something else. It takes a long time for the GI tract to heal itself and you do not want any flareups like I had. Slow, and 1 thing at a time.

What a big relief for you. I am glad that Hartley seems to be on the mend and throwing some zoomies in there too!
Mystique was on Flagyl as a just in case and we finished the course three days ago.
A little heads up that you may or may not experience with Hartley....Mystique was hesitant to have a poop after all the awful diarrhea and tummy stuff going on. We praised and treated her when she did go to trie to put a positive back on it.
Once we were sure that the diarrhea had settled we started giving her a teaspoon of plain yogurt mid day to help restore her normal tummy flora. Just want to make sure that you are not introducing the dairy too early.
Seemed to really help and I'm happy to report that we are once again picking up normal looking poops.
Take care...and I hope you have a nice hot "relief" cup of tea (or something stronger) for youself now.
And, I totally understand your concerns/worries...not so long ago we lost a very dear fur companion too. It is easy to let our minds go back there isn't it?

Glad to hear the little guy is doing better. Keep us posted on what your vet says on Thursday. ((Hugs)) to you both. I love that sweet little face. Hartley is so fitting.

Whew, so good to hear Hartley is feeling better. Hopefully you are both getting some much needed rest!

What a precious picture of him snoozing....

So glad to hear Hartley is getting better and is starting to get the zoomies again. The picture of him sleeping is adorable.

Hartley was doing well all day and his stool looked great this morning. Around 5:00 he walks over to the corner and vomits! :ick I immedately called the vets and they said if he continues to get sick tonight to bring him in first thing tomorrow morning, they did not feel since it was only once today he needed to be seen immediately. I hung up the phone thought a few minutes and called back just to be sure when the girl talked to my vet he knew I was there yesterday while he was off. She said my vet was informed of this and still felt it was not urgent. I did check Hartley's gums and they were a good color pink, not pale like during the weekend. He has been sleeping ever since and I am hoping this was a one time thing but will most likely drop him at the vet in the morning. I have an MRI scheduled at 11:00 so they can do any needed tests and observe him while I am having that done.

Thanks everyone for your advice and well wishes, yes he still has puppy breath and I am savoring every minute of that. I have actually been paying close attention to that because my neighbor Carol and I discussed that the other day and were wondering when it went away. I am so glad you enjoyed his pic I always love how their eyes look squeezed so tight. Here is another. Enjoy!
